4 Virtualized Deployments

What VM host server should I use?

A qualified host server with some specific resources. See the Acano solution Virtualized

Deployment Installation Guide for the latest details. The Acano solution will not run or will give

very poor service on older virtualized hosts.

Which versions of the hypervisor are recommended?

The only qualified host is described in the Acano Solution Virtualized Deployment Installation

Guide. It is a Dell R620 with ESXi hypervisor version 5.0 or 5.1.

We do not recommend or support other versions e.g. v5.5. The virtualized deployment can run

on Hyper-V 2012 but it's not supported and you would need to convert the OVF to Hyper-V

format using Microsoft's "Virtual Machine Migration tool".
